Assistant Sports Medicine Doctor x 2
Part-time (18½ hours per week)

Part-time Salary £40,400 pa

Based in Stirling

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit two Assistant Sports Doctors to assist in covering athletes across Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling.

Last year was a memorable year for sport in Scotland, and it remains an exciting time for sportscotland – the national agency for sport – as we move into our new 2015-19 Corporate Plan phase and continue to work with a range of organisations to build a world class sporting system for everyone in Scotland.

As leading medical practitioners, you will provide and manage a quality and effective medical service, responding to the needs of athletes in terms of performance, including illness, health management and injury. In addition, you will work closely with coaches, performance staff and other support services to provide a quality and highly integrated approach to service provision with all institute athletes.

You will be experienced in the field of high performance sport, suitably qualified in the field of sport and exercise medicine, self motivated and a team player with leadership qualities to help deliver support to Scottish and UK Athletes. In addition, demonstrable record of innovation and delivering world class sports medicine would be advantageous.
