Job Title: Casual Academy Physiotherapist
Department: Academy Medical Department
Based at: BRFC Academy, however flexibility on location is required.
Reports to: Head of Sports Science and Medical
Responsible for: N/A
Hours of work: As and when required.
Contractual Status: Casual Contract

1. Job Purpose:
To undertake Medical Provision on behalf of the Academy agreed with the Head of Sports Science and Medicine department, and to work games and clinics agreed by the Sports Science and Medicine Department.

2. Duties and Responsibilities
– To report to Head of Sports Science and Medicine
– To assist and liaise with all staff in the running of the department as required
– To provide medical cover for games and training as required
– To provide medical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of Academy players as required
– To assist in fitness testing and anthropometric testing of all Academy players
– To maintain up to date medical records
– To liaise with all stakeholders in the medical provision of all Academy players
– To attend other relevant courses/workshops as required from time to time
– To attend all meetings and in-service training relevant to your position as required
– To maintain up to date qualifications
– To submit any paperwork regarding duties on the required monthly deadline

3. Skills Required
– IT literate
– Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
– Good level of communication both written and verbal
– Ability to manage confidential and sensitive data 4. Knowledge Required
– Safeguarding and welfare
– Knowledge of working in an elite sporting environment is desirable.

5. Qualifications Required:
– Basic First Aid
– Chartered Physiotherapy Degree (or equivalent) or working towards

DBS Check Required: Yes
