Job Description
Barnet FC looking for a Head of Medical/Lead Physiotherapist to lead the provision of medical services within their academy.
Roles and Responsibilities not limited to:
• Perform age appropriate medical and physical screening to all players in the Academy.
• Design, monitor and evaluate bespoke rehabilitation programs for all injured players.
• Record all injuries and rehabilitation programs accurately and document on the PMA.
• Check players are completing the wellbeing questionnaire on a daily basis.
• Provide injury reports to all medical staff and coaching staff.
• Provide medical cover at all Youth Team and Schoolboy games and training sessions as per the Football League Rules.
• Provide players with home exercise plans where appropriate.
• Produce document compiling all medical alerts and emergency contact information for the season and ensure this is passed on to all relevant staff.
• Liaise with safeguarding and welfare officer to ensure the welfare of players under our care.
• Liaise with visiting academies to ensure there is appropriate medical cover for all games on site.
• Attend all management meetings, providing updates to all senior members of staff on the medical dept.
• Design and produce medical KPI according to club philosophy and EPPP.
• MDM meetings with FDP, YDP and PDP leads to discuss players, issues and create action.
• Coordinate recruitment of new staff, their induction and integration, working hours, schedules, appraisals and CPD.
Essential:
• Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy
• Experience of managing/leading a team of medical and allied health professionals
• Significant experience within elite sport.
• Comprehensive recent portfolio of professional CPD
• Leadership skills
• FA IFAS
Preferred Experience
• Post-graduate qualification in Physiotherapy or Sport Science
• Knowledge/experience of the EPPP and PMA
• FA AREA Course
