Mental Health Project Officer (Positive Minds)
Department: Watford FC Community Sports and Education Trust
Reporting to: Head of Health and Wellbeing
Hours: Full time 40 hours per week
Salary: £24,000-£28,000
Location: Vicarage Road Stadium
Contract Type: Fixed Term 3 years

Summary of your role:
Are you a passionate team player who wants to make a positive difference to the mental wellbeing of young people through sport and education?
The Mental Health Project Officer will lead a 3-year schools based Mental Health project across Hertfordshire. The project delivers a 10-week Mental Health education programme to year 6 students, and young people in transition.
Your key responsibilities, but not limited to:
• Project management and strategic leadership
• Providing high education in an engaging and informative way
• Managing project stakeholder, partner organisation and funding partners
• Development programme resources, building innovative content in relation to the link between mental health and physical activity
• Managing a team of delivery staff
• Monitoring, evaluating and continuous improvement of service standards
• Managing a project budget and relevant resources
• High quality report writing and evaluation skills
You will have:
• A degree or relevant qualification (in a related subject area such as health, health psychology, sports psychology, or related field)
• A sound knowledge of the common mental health issues affecting young people and their link with physical activity
• At least one years’ experience of working with children or young people with functional mental health problems.
• At least one years’ experience delivering educational programmes to young people.
• At least one year’s experience of managing or supervising team of staff or volunteers
• An ability to engage, motivate, inspire and mentor people towards achieving their goals.
• Experience and success in building relationships and working collaboratively with a range of partners.
• Experience managing a project budget
