Job Description
The Medical Team at Newbury RFC are looking to recruit a new team member for the 2019/20 season.
We are currently looking for a therapist to cover our Men’s 3rd XV Saturday fixtures and Ladies’ 1st XV Sunday fixtures, as well as treatment nights for our junior teams on a Wednesday evening (6:30-8.30pm). Pre-season begins in July with fixtures starting in August/September and will continue until May 2020. There will also be opportunities to cover other fixtures and events held at the club throughout the year.
Key Skills:
– Sports Therapy/Physiotherapy/Osteopath/Sports Rehab degree level qualification or similar
– Sports trauma qualification essential
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Reliability (Must be able to commit for whole 2019/20 season)
– Flexibility (Ability to be available at short notice or for fixtures to change)
– Own transport essential
Desirable:
– Experience of working in a rugby environment or knowledge of game
– Sports taping experience
– Wound management qualification
– Sports rehabilitation qualification
The role would suit experienced or newly qualified therapists looking to gain more exposure in the sporting environment. There is the opportunity to shadow existing team members to boost experience if desired.
Pay will be on a sessional basis and transport to all away games can be arranged
