Bipolar UK, the national charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by bipolar, is seeking to recruit a Treasurer and up to four Trustees.
Demand for the wide range of services provided by Bipolar UK is unprecedented, and we expect the charity to continue to grow over the next few years to support more people affected by bipolar.
We are looking for someone with significant accountancy and financial management experience to take over the role of Treasurer. With an annual income of just under £1m, the charity has a small, experienced Finance team who prepare the accounts and work closely with the Treasurer. As well as attending quarterly board meetings, this role also involves chairing a quarterly Finance Committee meeting.
We are also looking to enhance and broaden the knowledge base and skills of our board by recruiting a number of other trustees. In particular we are looking for fundraising and charity experience; also individuals with communications expertise and an understanding of government Mental Health policy. Just as importantly, we are keen to achieve a balanced board of trustees that bring a diverse range of perspectives.
We particularly welcome applications from individuals affected by bipolar, or with a professional understanding of bipolar.
