Trustee – Thames Hospice – South East England

Would you like to be one of our Trustees?

Trustees are there to provide assurance and support for the organisation in the delivery of services to patients and their loved ones. Anyone can apply to be a Trustee. Trustees are responsible for leading the strategic direction of a charity, ensuring that it has the resources to carry out its work and that it does so in accordance with its legal constitution.

As a trustee you would need to commit to attending approximately four Board Meetings a year and some additional subcommittee work and training. Meetings are held in Windsor.

We will consider applicants with other skills but we are particularly interested, at this time, in hearing from interested potential trustees with a background in either

not for profit fundraising

or

a background in General Practice

Candidates need to be enthusiastic and committed with an interest in End of Life Care and understanding of decision – making within the context of collective responsibility.

Trustee positions are unpaid, but all reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
