Conran Contracts are business to business design specialists offering a fully comprehensive consulting and furniture procurement service. Founded by Sir Terence Conran in 1990, we work closely with the architecture and design community to provide furnishings, fittings and accessories to businesses across the globe. With the widest range of main supplier and bespoke relationships in the industry, we have the ability to select, specify and consult on furniture projects across multiple market sectors, irrespective of scale or location.
We are looking for a commercially minded individual with a passion for design. You will be given autonomy to create your own business model within this iconic design brand. Your main role will be to manage, build and grow key relationships with architects, specifiers and end clients. You will be a team player with a flexible and proactive outlook and be constantly thinking about how to build the Conran Contracts brand.
Main areas of responsibility:
generate your own profitable client base, working with the operation teams to ensure project delivered on time
manage existing and further develop large commercial projects and rollout programmes
be a positive and professional brand ambassador
achieve an annual profit target and maximise margin in all areas of the sales process
develop strategic and profitable relationships with new and existing suppliers
present relevant services/products to A&D community and end clients
oversee large or important installs on site
ensure 100% client retention
proactively promote Conran Contracts in all relevant industry sectors, maintaining our service standards
provide support to all team members and lead by example
Essential skills:
ability to quickly understand a project brief
confident and professional networker
service and sales driven
able to create an original experience for our clients
three years of contract sales experience
self-motivated, innovative and able to work on own initiative
confident with dealing at director level
strong at Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM Systems
understands the psychology of the sales process
seeking a non-conventional role
co-ordinated large international installs
team player, with a good sense of humour
present confidently to a room full of designers
passionate about design but with a strong commercial awareness
Ideal:
three years of FFE specification
design degree
experience of winning £1,000,000 plus projects
experience in cloud based order management systems
Salary on application
Initial three month probation
