Barnet Football Club Academy – Part time Youth Development Phase Coach.
Number of Positions Available: 2
Barnet FC is currently recruiting for part time Coaches within our Category 3 Academy. The role will be based at our Training Ground (HA8 6AG) and the successful candidates will be in part responsible for the delivery of our coaching programme in the Youth Development Phase.
1. Youth Development Phase Training structure;
Monday: 17:30-19:30
Tuesday: 17:30-19:30
Thursday: 17:00-19:00
Saturday: 09:00-11:00 and/or Sunday 11:00-13:00
Fixtures for the Youth Development phase take place on a Sunday morning.
2. Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for planning and delivering the coaching and fixture programme for a specified ‘Group of Players’ within the coaching syllabus
• To evaluate players from coaching sessions and matches and ensure that the relevant information is recorded fully on Performance Management Application, on an individual and team level
• To create and conduct six weekly player reviews
• To carry out player/parent reviews in line with EPPP guidelines
• Contribute to a multi-disciplinary environment to ensure the holistic development of all players in the Youth Development Phase
3. Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
• UEFA ‘B’ Licence
• FA Youth Modules 1, 2 & 3
• Hold an enhanced FA DBS Check
• Previous experience of coaching players in an Academy environment
• Member of the FA Licenced Coaches Club
Desirable:
• UEFA A Licence.
• FA Advanced Youth Award
• Degree within a related subject
4. Person Specification:
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Ability to plan, deliver, develop and evaluate football coaching sessions within the specified Academy philosophy in terms of structure and style of delivery
• Able to communicate effectively with Academy staff, players and parents
• Capable of recognising the needs of the players and coaching in a manger that maximises their individual development
• Dedicated to Continuous Professional Development Internally and Externally
• Excellent IT and presentation skills in order to fulfil all necessary documentation requirements as stipulated within the EPPP guidelines
• Willing to follow and promote the Club Football Philosophy
