We are recruiting a Regional Fundraising Manager to be based in the South East, who will maximise the fundraising potential in the region.
The person we are looking for will be experienced in working with and supporting volunteers and individual community fundraisers, confident working independently to achieve personal targets, equipped with a strategic mind-set, focus, drive and enthusiasm, as well as excellent communication and relationship building skills. You will also be adept at planning and prioritising to meet the multiple calls on your time. Using all these skills and traits, you’ll create and implement an innovative plan which delivers strategic financial and non-financial objectives through a network of volunteers and other supporters.
With a strong background in fundraising, you will engage, inspire, and motivate supporters and staff to generate timely and sustainable revenue alongside achieving your own fundraising targets. You will therefore possess excellent written and verbal communication skills- with a proven ability to influence, persuade and negotiate.
The role will be part home and part Central London office based, so you must be able to work to your own routines, priorities and deadlines. A high degree of independence is also very important to us. You must also be prepared to work flexibly including unsocial hours and there will be overnight stays away from your base.
If you are looking for a role offering you huge potential for personal and professional growth, whilst having a very real and direct impact on the lives of the Armed Forces family, we’d love to hear from you.
We are SSAFA. We provide lifelong support to our Forces and their families. Each year we are here for more than 50,000 different people when they need us most. Our work is varied and our aims are clear. You could help us succeed.
Please contact Julia Clark, Head of Regional Fundraising on 07748 999944 for an informal discussion.
