Founded in 2004, four23 is a creative studio delivering imaginative projects for clients including global organisations adidas, Oakley and Virgin; arts and charitable institutions: the Medici Quartet and Graeae Theatre Company; and for individuals including Olympic athlete, Mo Farah and Academy Award winning actor, Kevin Spacey.
Job purpose:
You will work closely with head of research and the CEO across a broad and varied range of research assignments. We are less interested in what you know and more interested in your ability and desire to discover.
You could be tasked with a demographic study, an academic philosophy or a brand investigation.
You will be required to:
research, question and thoroughly taken on briefs investigating all avenues to discover insights that add value and direction to creative projects
question your discoveries, not just compile information and articulate your findings before presenting back to the team coherent and comprehensively
report your research through written presentations, client pitches, informal team meetings and published material
create and maintain a comprehensive research archive hub, making it easily searchable and accessible
About you:
You will have an instinctive curiosity and awareness of everything going on around you – excited about the prospect of applying your rigorous, academic approach to research to any project tasked to you.
You’ll bring with you a unique set of wide reference points, new perspectives and a methodology to find the answer to any research brief with the ability to tap into the best research seam.
You are inquisitive and passionate about learning and your findings are considered, refreshing, deep and insightful. You delve beyond the obvious to find the true meaning and gain true understanding of a subject.
A clear, confident, engaging presenter – you can explain your thoughts to an audience of people and are prepared to be questioned and challenged.
With excellent writing skills, you are able to produce clear, direct, concise copy – able to explain complex ideas clearly and make them understandable for any audience.
You have a strong interest in design and the global communications industry.
You have a social media appreciation and know how to use it as an ongoing source for current, breaking, alternative information. Hours of work: 9:30am to 6pm five days a week.
(Please be aware that out of hours working is required if the project demands.)
Holidays: 25 days per annum.

Studio: this role is based full time in the four23 London studio.
