Science Editor (part-time, Mondays and Fridays)
Job location: Central London
Salary: £9,000-£11,500 (depending on experience and qualifications)
This is an exciting opportunity to work for BioNews, a free web- and email-based digest of news and developments in assisted conception, human genetics and embryo/stem cell research.
As Science Editor, you will be responsible for researching, writing and editing articles about assisted conception, human genetics, stem cells and related areas of science and policy, liaising with a team of BioNews volunteer writers, sending out the weekly BioNews email newsletters using our content management system, as well as managing our science writing scheme.
We are seeking a well-organised, self-motivated candidate, with excellent written and oral communications skills. A degree in a biological science subject and experience of researching, writing and editing articles for publication are also highly desirable for this job. The candidate must be able to work out of our office in central London.
