HAY & Wrong for Hay UK (Nine United UK) is looking for an intern for London Design Festival to be involved with an array of tasks prior to and after LDF, working alongside our UK sales team to aid the successful running of our events and showroom.
HAY was founded in 2002, with the ambition of creating contemporary furniture with an eye for modern lifestyles and advanced industrial production. HAY are guided by the vision of creating straightforward, functional and joyful products in cooperation with some of the world’s most talented and designers. Wrong for Hay is HAY’s new co-brand, launched in London in 2013 and spearheaded by Sebastian Wrong. Wrong for Hay represents HAY’s ambition to create a complementary brand that has an eclectic design DNA as a natural reflection of its base in London’s cultural melting pot.
The HAY & Wrong for Hay UK office was established in January 2013 and expanded with our London showroom in 2014. We are pleased to invite an intern into our UK Sales team, and are looking for a driven candidate, with a passion for design furniture & accessories to join us in London.
Your tasks will include:
manning the showroom
facilitating in the set-up of exhibits where required
aiding the sales team
greeting guests and making sure they feel welcome and at home
helping generate sales material
help in maintaining the showroom to an immaculate standard
involvement in social media and PR
Requirements
interest and enthusiasm for contemporary design, furniture and home accessories
a proactive, friendly and enthusiastic approach
retail experience preferable
fluent in English; excellent written communication skills
ability to work independently as well as part of a team
