Sales Position – Luke Hughes and Company – London

Luke Hughes and Company is a business-to-business designer and supplier of high quality, site-specific furniture for the prestige areas of public and corporate buildings. These range from Oxbridge and Ivy League colleges, royal palaces, supreme courts, research institutes and corporate headquarters to cathedrals and international hotels.

We are seeking an enthusiastic graduate who has at least two years experience of selling value propositions to a wide range of clients (architects, designers and end clients) in very varied markets in the UK and abroad. The ideal candidate will have had a thorough sales training and be passionate about furniture and/or architecture. The role will involve identifying sales leads, developing design proposals with clients and architects or designers, converting these to orders and then overseeing the project through to delivery.

Required skills and attributes:

experience of bespoke, value-added and customer-focused sales
competitive and commercial attitude to selling
ability to develop enduring client relationships
a commitment to managing the sales pipeline using a CRM database
good knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint/Keynote, or equivalent
highly organised and self motivated. Ability to prioritise is key
ability to work as part of a team to meet tight deadlines
understanding of furniture construction and/or knowledge of furniture
sense of humour
