Millfield School are looking to recruit an Athletic Development Intern for the 2016/2017 academic year.

Millfield is an independent boarding school with outstanding pastoral and co-curricular activities, set in the heart of Somerset. We cater for approximately 1230 pupils aged 13 to 18, all of whom are engaged in sport and physical activities. We have outstanding facilities and a vibrant multisport environment.

As one of the UK’s Leading School’s for sports provision, Millfield aims to be a leading institution in the athletic development of young athletes and the provision of athletic development training solutions.

The Athletic Development Intern will be responsible for supporting the athletic development of pupils aged 13 to 18. The Athletic Development Intern will deliver athletic training aligned with the school’s athletic development framework and syllabus to pupils participating in a wide range of sports. The role will also see the successful candidate supporting a selected sports programme on a more regular basis, establishing an athletic development pathway in that sport alongside any other duties outlined by the head of sport. In return the successful applicant will receive a remuneration of £8,886 per annum including board and lodgings during term time.
