Campus Sport Graduate Trainee – Anglia Ruskin University

Job Description
You’ll join a dynamic team contributing towards the successful delivery of our Active Anglia strategy – our plan to significantly increase the number of people engaged in sport, recreation and wellbeing activities over the next 5 years.

We’re seeking to recruit an individual to work within our sports development team. We’re offering a planned and supervised experience, offering a range of developmental activities and visits to other universities will be possible. There will also be the opportunity to participate in the learning and development offered to all Student Services staff.

You’ll coordinate the Campus Sport on our Cambridge Campus, supporting more students and staff to participate in physical activity. This will include delivering a well organised weekly programme of social sport opportunities as well as tournaments and other events. You’ll also contribute to the achievement of our strategic plan, in particular in support of our corporate goals to provide an excellent student experience and to support retention, progression and student success.

This post is only open to graduates, or those expecting to graduate in 2017, who intend to undertake a career in sport. Some familiarity with Higher Education sports programmes and evidence of successfully working in a team is essential, you must also have good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
