Impact: The Nottingham Campaign is the University’s biggest ever fundraising campaign, seeking to raise £150 million to deliver the University’s vision to change lives, tackle global issues and shape the future.
The Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for delivering a high quality community fundraising programme, raising funds for the University of Nottingham’s portfolio of life changing health and well-being research projects. The work will make a difference to people’s lives in areas like dementia and cancer. The role holder’s responsibility will include an annual fundraising target of £200,000 and they will be given responsibility for project-managing the University’s flagship Life Cycle bike rides. Their communities will include members of the public in the local area and throughout the UK, plus University staff and students.
The Candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of meeting fundraising targets through devising and delivering innovative community fundraising events and other initiatives. The post holder will be a creative person able to write great fundraising copy and have experience of building lasting relationships with volunteers. They will be an excellent communicator, able to speak well in public, and equally confident in talking to the University’s Vice-Chancellor or with sensitivity to a bereaved parent.
