Job Description
We are looking to provide support with sporting fixtures and events for Imperial College London sports teams in partnership with the Sport Imperial and Imperial College Union.
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain experience with working in Sport Development roles. With the main focus on BUCS leagues and competitions but with additional opportunities to pick up on our performance and participation programmes from Strength and Conditioning to Coaching, there is a plenty on offer to work with. This role is principally student facing so comes with many opportunities to work with students on a 1-1 basis but also on a wider scale with our development, events and marketing frameworks.
You will gain an insight into all of our programmes, working with other organisations such as BUCS and our sporting partners and develop a wide range of skills to progress into sporting careers; from grass-roots and participation levels, student activities, student management, BUCS and Competitions and elite performance pathways. With opportunities to have your input into how these look and run, understanding the constraints and creativity of student sport with this role you can continue to work with us and know your input can help shape our student sport and campus wide sporting prospects.
Key Tasks
Fixtures Administration
• Support the organisation and communication of sports fixtures to home and opposition teams in British Universities and Colleges Sport and London University Sports Leagues competitions.
• Support entries into one-off sports competitions
• Provide support with sports activities within the Student Activities Team at Imperial College Union and Sport Imperial as required
• Support with collecting, mapping and monitoring all relevant data such as performance at one off events, entries into competitions and results from weekly fixtures
• Promote and market sporting successes to internal and external publications
• Support with maintaining and developing social media channels
• Support with the delivery of club officer training to students
• Provide administrative support for all sports events
• Engage with students to celebrate sporting successes, publicise additional opportunities and maintain the Imperial relationship with students and other organisations.
Other Opportunities
• Gain an insight into the functioning of Sport Imperial Performance programme working with athletes representing at National and International level
• Additional work opportunities within Sport Imperial Participation programme

REQUIREMENTS

Experience/Education
• Currently studying Degree or Equivalent
• Fluency in oral and written English
