St Peter’s School, founded in AD 627, is one of the oldest schools in the world. It occupies a 47-acre campus on the banks of the River Ouse, and lies within a short walk of the centre of the historic city of York.
We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic graduates to join the Sports Department at St Peter’s School, York (3-18), which has an outstanding reputation for its sports programme. The posts are full time and will initially be for one year, but could be extended for a further year for the right candidates.
We are looking for people who are passionate about sport and are considering a teaching or coaching career. The successful candidates are likely to have a degree in a Sport Science or other sports related course. No teaching qualification is required though the successful candidates will need to hold a relevant First Aid Qualification.
You would be expected to coach at least one of the major sports (rugby, hockey, cricket, rowing, netball, tennis and swimming) and hold at least a Level 1 Coaching Qualification in it. The school also offers a wider variety of activities including – squash, water polo, pilates, dance and gymnastics.
This is a full time, term time only role with a salary of £11,000p.a. In addition you will be offered free accommodation on site, food during term time, sports kit and parking on site.
