Applications are invited by the Board of Governors for the position of Head to succeed Mark Johnson, who will be retiring at the end of the summer term 2016 after 18 years of outstanding service to the school.
Cheam was founded in 1645 and is one of the country’s leading IAPS co-educational prep schools, catering for pupils from 3-13 years. We are a thriving school of 426 pupils, day and boarding, set in over 80 acres of glorious North Hampshire countryside.
We aim to provide a first-class all-round education, based on traditional values set in a modern context.
The successful candidate will be well-qualified, forward-thinking, experienced and energetic. He/she will either be an existing Head or Deputy Head of a prep school, or have equivalent leadership experience.

Cheam School is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children, and candidates are expected to share this commitment.
