KS5 Maths Co-ordinator – Collingwood College – Surrey

Salary: SALARY RANGE £23,082 – £38,555 depending on experience plus TLR 2.1 (£2,587)

We are seeking to appoint a candidate who is a well-qualified, innovative and outstanding Mathematics practitioner with a vision to inspire and motivate our students. You will be enthusiastic and have high expectations of students and staff and be able to teach across the age and ability range, ideally including A level Further Maths.

This is a fantastic opportunity to implement Post-16 curriculum changes in a large Maths Department with a very successful 6th Form.

You will be an enthusiastic and highly organised teacher, able to lead our KS5 curriculum area in moving from a ‘good to outstanding’ maths department. Candidates must have excellent subject knowledge and a successful track record of teaching Maths across all key stages. You will have a passion for promoting Maths across the school and delivering outstanding lessons, so enabling students to exceed their expectations.

You will join a well-qualified, friendly and committed Maths team with an excellent record of success at KS4 and KS5. Maths is an extremely popular subject within the school with over ninety students progressing to our highly successful ‘A’ level courses. We follow the Edexcel specification and currently offer all the units available for both Maths and Further Maths, along with the AQA Certificate in Use of Maths (Pilot).

The successful candidate will join a high achieving Mathematics and Science faculty. Examination results at both GCSE & A level are significantly above National performance.
