Job Description
The London PE & School Sports Network is hosted at Bacon’s College, Southwark. Our primary focus is to support, develop, deliver and strategically lead Physical Education and School Sport development for our partner primary, secondary and special schools.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be placed at the heart of the network and to gain experience in our 4 key areas of work – PE & School Sport, Professional Development, Health & Wellbeing and Leadership. You will work closely with each member of the team to develop your knowledge of the structure and delivery of multiple sports competitions, deliver high quality creative work in an educational environment and build a solid understanding of the current sporting landscape.

Internship Details:
This is a full time internship programme, starting May 16th at the earliest. The role holder will be required to work in the London PE & School Sports Network Office; based at Bacon’s College, Rotherhithe, SE16 6AT, and on site at any Network events across the Borough of Southwark.

The role holder will receive one to one mentoring with experienced industry professionals, opportunities to access high quality professional development and post-internship support and career guidance if desired. In addition to £100 per week, any work based expenses that are incurred as a direct result of carrying out the role will be reimbursed.

Person Specification:
• Recent graduate or in the final year of their degree, in a sports related discipline.
• Self-motivated individual with good attention to detail and a clear understanding of the need to be professional and organised.
• Passionate about sport and the opportunities it can provide to young people.
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• DBS clearance

Responsibilities:
• Support the Activation Team in delivery of the summer competition programme
• Assist in the planning of the Annual Southwark PE & School Sport Awards
• Deliver multiskills sessions to KS1 children
• Promotion of all network events through social media and local media organisations
