Edenham High School is a “Good school, with outstanding features” and has established an outstanding reputation for providing a supportive environment in which children of all abilities can flourish.
Our vision is clear; we aim to be at the centre of the community, we are a happy and successful school driven by a passion for excellence in education. Do you want to be part of a school that is dedicated to moving forward?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher able to teach and inspire students across KS3, 4 & 5. Geography is a highly successful subject within the Humanities faculty. Our purpose as teachers within Humanities is a simple one; to improve the life chances of our students, by leaving ‘no stone unturned’ and ‘going the extra mile (or two)’.
You will be driven by a deep moral purpose to make a difference to the lives of our students and able to teach across KS3 and KS4. Having experience of teaching KS5 will be beneficial, but not essential. A team worker, with a willingness to take calculated risks and learn from mistakes, you will be willing to develop a growth mindset approach to your professional development and students’ learning. With a passion for raising students’ attainment at GCSE and A level, you will be forward thinking, receptive to change and able to work under pressure, while being committed to teaching Geography in an engaging way, which excites and challenges our students.
In return we offer, a commitment to your professional development; an ‘out the box’ thinking Humanities department with a commitment to excellence; a Head of Department who is a Geography Executive for PiXL; a high number of students studying Geography at GCSE; a growing and developing Sixth Form and a fully equipped department.
