We are seeking to appoint an excellent Teacher of Mathematics to deliver outstanding lessons at all Key Stages, starting in September. You will have a confident understanding of the curriculum and the ability to create exciting and innovative resources that challenge and inspire our students. Your work with us will really make a difference in a dynamic and fast improving community school.
In 2014, 67% of students achieved an A*- C grade in GCSE (results this year are expected to be at 80%). We offer both A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics and are trialing this year GCSE Statistics for our most able students.
There is a possibility of a TLR for the right candidate, with whole school responsibility for Potential High Achievers or our Disadvantaged students. These are important roles and give opportunity for strong career development.
The school has a developed provision with academic express streams, a strong house system and aim higher programmes. All students take part in enrichment activities and there are many opportunities for student trips and events. The school offers a two week October half term. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a school that focuses relentlessly on raising standards and invests in the development of both staff and students. Ofsted judged the school as ‘Good’ in October 2012 and we are determined to be judged ‘Outstanding’ out our next inspection.
